AUTISM THERAPISTS AND SKILLS TRAINERS

Emaley McCullochEmaley McCulloch, B.A., BCABA, Clinical Supervisor.
Emaley is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst who specializes in working with individuals, aged 2-21+, with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for over 15 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Brigham Young University. She moved to Hawaii in 2002 and worked as an Autism Consultant. She trained and supervised skills trainers, assisted in the IEP development process, and composed treatment plans for student’s with autism and related disorders. In 2004 she assumed the role as the Program Supervisor at an intensive learning center. Given a diverse group of clients, her responsibilities included supervision of all ABA programs, supervising and training all ABA therapists, collaborating with schools, speech therapists and OTs. She provided supervision and consultation, and directed programs such as social skills classes, integrated preschool program, summer programs and an ABA classroom. Her other responsibilities included creating and developing curriculum and data systems for individual children. She was also given the opportunity to consult and train families and professionals in Japan over the course of 2 years. Emaley is also the co-founder of Autism Training Solutions (ATS) (www.AutismTrainingSolutions.com) which addresses the need for professional development and staff training for schools, and agencies providing direct services to individuals with ASD and other related disabilities.

Emaley is currently a grad student in the College of Education at the University of Hawaii and has completed her coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis through the University of North Texas. Emaley is scheduled to graduate with her M.Ed. Special Education during the Summer of 2011. She received her Board Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA) in November 2008.

Emaley's interests include: professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals, online training, Skinner's analysis of verbal behavior, as well as Direct Instruction (DI).

 
 

Anne Lau, Autism Behavior Consulting Group, Oahu HawaiiAnne Lau, M.Ed., BCBA, NCC Clinical Supervisor

Anne Lau is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who specializes in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for the past 6 years. She earned her Master's in Education (Counseling) from University of Hawaii in 2008. Anne came to Hawaii in 2004, and spent six years at an intensive learning center, working with a wide variety of students in intensive intervention, and seeing first-hand the power of quality ABA to take severely impacted children with limited vocal skills all the way to mainstream classrooms without assistance. Anne was chosen to travel to Tokyo, Japan, on several occasions to assist in providing service and supervising programs. Anne has great experience performing language, academic, and adaptive behavioral assessments and has presented and designed trainings on numerous facets of ABA.

Anne is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) having gained valuable internship in Crisis Shelters, Group Homes, and facilitating group therapy for adults diagnosed with Schizophrenia.
Anne joined ABC Group in 2010, where she assisted in opening The ABC Center, a specialty school for children with autism, and other learning challenges, in Aiea, on the island of Oahu. She completed coursework in behavior analysis through the University of North Texas and became board certified in 2010. Anne is a member of the Hawai'i Association of Behavior Analysis (HABA, and the Scientific Advisory Board of Autism Training Solutions (ATS) . She is also a member of the Association of Behavior Analysis International and the American Counseling Association.
Anne’s interests include: the core social deficits of autism (as a lack of pairing with reinforcement), Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior, feeding problems, parent group training, precision teaching, and organizational behavior management.

 

Kim Henkle, Autism Behavior Consulting Group, Oahu HawaiiKim Henkle, BA, BCaBA Clinical Supervisor

Kimberly Henkle is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst who specializes in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for the past 4 years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The New School University in New York City. She received her training and fulfilled her course requirement for her BCaBA from the University of North Texas, and became board certified in 2010.

Kimberly has been working with children in the mental health field for over 15 years. Before discovering behavior analysis, she worked with children that were the victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and on a crisis hotline for suicidal and homeless teens, and served as a federal reporter of human trafficking. She also assisted with parent trainings and research an outreach center for people with boarderline personality disorder. In 2007, Kimberly came to Hawai’i and began working at an intensive learning center. She had the opportunity to design and lead a social skills group for intermediate school students with autism and related disorders, as well design a group instruction classroom. Kim has experience supervising school and center-based programs, for kids ranging from early intervention age to high school. Kim came to ABC Group in 2010, and assisted in opening ABC Center, a specialty school for children with autism and other learning challenges, in Aiea, on the island of Oahu. Kim is a member of the Hawaii Association of Behavior Analysis, the Association of Behavior Analysis International, and the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts.

Kim’s interests include: reducing severe aggression and self-injury, precision teaching, Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior, and effective supervision strategies that come from application of organizational behavior management.

 

Ally Kearney, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Oahu, HawaiiAlly Kearney , Oahu, Hawaii

M.S., BCBA Clinical Supervisor
Ally Kearney is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who specializes in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for the past 2 ½ years. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Communication from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL in 2008, and her Master’s of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in 2011. During her time at Florida Institute of Technology, Ally had the opportunity to receive instruction from renowned behavior analysts such as Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz and Dr. Patrick McGreevy. While in graduate school, she conducted research on training teachers to implement students’ behavior support plans with high treatment integrity using the principles of organizational behavior management, in order to improve student behavior. Ally moved to Hawaii in August, 2011 and received her BCBA certification in November, 2011.
Ally has experience writing, implementing, and monitoring skill acquisition programs and behavior reduction programs for children with ASD and other disabilities, in homes, schools, and most recently, at ABC Group’s clinic. She has experience training classroom teachers and staff to implement behavior support plans in both self-contained and regular education classrooms, and enjoys collaborating with others to ensure that students receive the best services possible. She also enjoys training parents in the principles of behavior analysis, and working together to design effective in-home programming for their children. Ally has experience conducting language and behavioral assessments including functional analyses of severe behavior.
Ally joined ABC Group in September, 2011 as a skills trainer. She is a member of the Hawai’i Association of Behavior Analysis, the Florida Association of Behavior Analysis, Applied Behavior Analysis International, and the Association for Science in Autism Treatment.
Ally’s interests include Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior, treatment integrity of the implementation of behavioral programs, parent and teacher training based on the principles of organizational behavior management, direct instruction, and TAGTeach.
