Heather A. Law
ABA Program Consultant - Virginia Beach VA
Heather found her passion and career in 1996 where she began working with children with autism using methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She has had the privilege of having amazing mentors in the field of ABA during her years as a behavior therapist, such as Mary Vesloski, BCBA, Advance, Inc, Matt Bowman, Rutgers Autism Project and Cherish Richards, BCBA. She has attended hundreds of conferences and workshops in the field and has worked with a wide array of children on the spectrum, from early intervention to adolescence. With over 10 years of experience in the application of ABA and VB, she has worked as an Autism / Verbal Behavior consultant with a number of school districts and families in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. She closely follows the work of Mark Sundberg, and has helped collect field testing data to support his research using VB-MAPP.
In the fall of 2008, she began traveling to Virginia Beach, Virginia to help families setup Verbal Behavior programs and has recently relocated to the Virginia Beach area. She has trained and supervised skills trainers, tutors, therapists, and has assisted in the IEP development process, and composed treatment plans for student’s with autism and related disorders.
She is currently completing her BA in Psychology and working towards her Board Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis which she plans on completing by 2010.
She is grateful to now work for ABC Group, utilizing the Verbal Behavior approach to ABA, and is proud that ABC Group is committed to bringing quality AUTISM ABA programming to their learners in the Virginia Beach, Norfolk Virginia and surrounding areas in Virginia!
